What's New: The 2026 Genie Canvas

We listened to professional artists and rebuilt the Genie Canvas from the ground up.

If you've used a Genie before, you'll notice the difference right away. Working with one of North America's leading stretcher-bar makers, we engineered an all-wood frame made exclusively for Genie. No other canvas system uses it.

What Changed

  • Precision-Milled Wood Bars: We replaced the original plastic components with professional-grade, precision-milled stretcher bars with a rounded, machined front edge. The frame is lighter and far stronger.
  • Dual-Brace Stability: Every size now has both a horizontal and a vertical brace that lock together at the center. Say goodbye to sagging; even monumental canvases stay drum-tight.
  • Wooden Spine Connectors: Four solid-wood spines slide onto the brace ends and lock into slots in the stretcher bars. No hinges, no forcing, no wobble.
  • Simple 4-Key Tension Control: The original Genie had no tension keys, which made it hard to get the canvas as tight as artists wanted. The new frame uses four brace keys that seat against the spines, so you can tighten it drum-tight and re-tighten it any time.
